Pharmacy and medical-store counters

Pharmacy software for counter billing and everyday business records

Use DistributorFlow for product records, counter billing, stock entries and customer balances at a pharmacy or medical-store counter. Find items by name or product barcode, record quantities and receiving, then review the saved sale and receipt.

See the current packages and allowances before you choose.

How do you prepare a medical-store product catalogue?

Add clear categories and distinct product records for the items you sell. Check the name, variant, sales unit, prices and optional barcode. Product creation and stock receipt are separate tasks, so record and review the stock entry after preparing the catalogue.

  • Keep different pack sizes clearly distinguishable.
  • Use a consistent sales unit and check units per box.
  • Store the product lookup barcode against the intended item.
  • Review the permitted products for the customer or POS account.

What happens during a counter sale?

Find the item, check the quantity and rate, review applicable discounts and enter the amount actually received. Save the sale once and confirm the result before printing or entering another transaction. A printed preview alone does not establish that an unsaved request succeeded.

In a simple sample sale of 450 with 300 received and no other adjustments, 150 remains due. Keep that receiving attached to the intended customer account so another staff member can understand the balance later.

Which pharmacy requirements should you match before adopting it?

The verified workflow here covers catalogue records, barcode lookup, stock entries, sales, receipts and customer balances. Dedicated medicine-batch records, expiry-date control, FEFO allocation and prescription management are not included in this release. Review those needs separately if they are part of your pharmacy process.

The shop warranty dates used for serialised products are a different feature from medicine expiry dates. A product barcode identifies the catalogue item; it does not create batch-level stock or expiry control.

How can you test the counter workflow?

Use a few trial products and quantities to check product selection, units, a full payment, a partial payment and the printed receipt. Confirm the stock report your team will use. Prepare the supported POS online before trying offline sales on the same device.

Product answers

Is a ready-made medicine database included?

The verified workflow uses the product catalogue you maintain in DistributorFlow. It does not include a preloaded medicine or generic-name database. Prepare and review your own product records before billing.

Can I use this workflow for a medical store in Pakistan?

You can evaluate the supported counter-sale and business-record workflow with your business currency and products. Check the pharmacy-specific requirements described on this page before deciding whether it fits your complete process.
