How to add and check a product barcode
Save a barcode against the correct DistributorFlow product and test that scanning finds the intended item in POS.
Store the printed product code used to find the product during a POS sale.
Where to start
Products > Add Product or Products > All Products > Edit
Steps
- Open Products > Add Product, or find the product through All Products > Edit.
- Enter or scan the barcode printed on that product. Keep the complete value, including any leading zero.
- Check that the barcode belongs to the intended size or variant before saving.
- Open the appropriate POS and scan or search the saved barcode.
- Confirm the product and price that appear before adding it to a real sale.
Example
Save 8901234567890 on the matching drink product, then use that code in POS search.
Before you finish
This is the product lookup code. The POS row barcode icon separately scans the serial number of each sold unit when serial tracking is needed.
